“I thoroughly enjoy helping patients in all walks of life. From patients seeking health and wellness from a preventative perspective to patients who have been struggling with chronic illnesses for years and desperate for answers. No two patients are ever the same. Some areas of medicine I particularly enjoy include:
- Mold Illness
- Tickborne Illnesses
- Holistic and Integrative Dermatology
- Hormones
- Preventative Medicine
There is a time and a place for prescription medicines and pharmaceuticals. However, there is also a wonderful place for natural remedies to help with healing and wellness. I also enjoy augmenting treatment plans with cutting edge integrative therapies, such as IV therapies and have seen patients benefit immensely. I count is a blessing and an honor to walk alongside patients in their health journey and help them reach their goals.”
What is Integrative Medicine?
Integrative medicine is a patient-focused, healing-oriented medicine that takes account the whole person. It includes all aspects of a patient’s lifestyle and uses a blend of western and alternative medicines to reach optimal health and healing. Roots Integrative Medicine is located in Marble Falls, Texas. Dr. Saxton and her team strive to identify and treat the root cause of the problem and use a whole-body approach to healing: lifestyle, diet and supplements mixed with conventional and cutting-edge medical therapies. We specialize in keeping patients healthy with natural treatments when possible. In addition to treating illnesses, we practice preventative medicine—helping patients optimize health, vitality, and longevity.
What is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine?
A Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) is a licensed physician who goes through four years of medical school followed by advanced training in a residency program. In D.O. school, the education and training focus on the body as an integrated whole rather than treating for specific symptoms. D.O. programs require 300 hours of osteopathic manipulation medicine (OMM) training. OMM focuses on the musculoskeletal system and are trained to address conditions from both a medical and lifestyle perspective.
